Awhile

Isn't it amazing the way you can go for days, weeks or even months, not hear from someone and yet, when you do, it's like the time was there at all?  I've actually seen time pass in front of my face, when I meet up with people I haven't seen in a few years.  It's sometimes hard to imagine that they would turn out to be like they are.  You know that time never stands still, and I guess that's why we all grow so damned old before we realize it.  It wouldn't hurt for it to slow down just a damn little bit.  Could help me find a few more things to do, people to meet and learn new things.

Many jobs come with support parts to get things located where they are needed.  You find that s hooks  come in handy in many areas. This Year

The upcoming holiday's are going to be something to endure once again.  For the last 3 years our family has been feeling the sadness of loss with people we know and love passing on.  It's a normal thing to experience in life, but one that no one wants.  This year if things go as planned we will be able to spend another holiday season with the older folks.  This is something that we hold on to, because we know it won't be long until they will be gone as well. Make your holiday's one to remember with plenty of love.

Big Move

My grandson and his family recently moved back to Texas.  They moved out to the El Paso, TX area and found a place to settle in.  It's never easy moving from one place to another, and even harder from one state to another.  I can't fathom moving from one country to another. 
Not only was it a long drive, but there were 3 young children along as well.  I'm not sure if they brought any of the pets or not.  From the post I've seen on Facebook that his wife has made recently, they seem to be adapting well.  This is a good thing, and I hope it stays good.

Senior Living......

I've come across the fact that there are many people living longer that in years past. Us "baby boomers" are in the middle of this range. Several are living in a skilled nursing facility because they are not healthy and need to be taken care of by professional's in healthcare. It's a blessing to be able to live independently when you get older. I know that soon I will be looking at the task of deciding for my Mother as well as myself. She is in her 80's and still at home, but needs assistance on occasion, to maintain her way of living. I'm in my 60's and am dreading even considering being unable to handle an independent life on my own. Some parents can find a Senior independent living facility to move in, and have assistance available, if needed. It's necessary to help your parents find one that they can feel comfortable in and get the help they need to maintain a lifestyle they can enjoy. Activities for Seniors are important and can help keep them busy and stimulated mentally through out each day.
