Christmas
The family got together with my Mom & step-dad for Christmas....I ate too much food, because I just couldn't control my yen for some of the snacks. Mom was talking about this and that as usual, and Henry was talking about his days in the military as usual.

Gift Cards
This Christmas found many people buying gifts card online, in order to cover some of their shopping days. Leaving things to the last minute is what most of us do and getting online gift cards which are shipped almost immediately, can save the day. I did this type of shopping for Christmas this year and was glad to have everything over and done with. I believe this is one of the best ways to shop for gifts, when you don't know all the information about the person or people involved.

Santa Movies.....
I actually sat and watched some old Tim Allen Christmas stories last night, about him becoming "Santa Claus" and all the drama involved. It was a nice quiet evening at home alone, and I actually didn't mind it at all. There were several cartoon programs on before it, and for some reason I felt comfortable just being at home for a change. I am almost always sitting at the computer, but last night the TV caught my eye, and I stayed with it until I went to bed. I even watched the "Dale Hansen's" "Thank God for Kids". It was an older version but very nice to see and remember.

Elizabeth Edwards Dies
Americans knew Elizabeth Edwards in large part through her tragedies, but more importantly, they knew her for the vitality and determination she showed in dealing with them. Her cancer incurable and her former-presidential-candidate husband mired in a paternity scandal, she did not shrink from public life but shared her story and advocated for health care reform.
Edwards died of cancer Tuesday at her North Carolina home surrounded by her three children, siblings, friends and her estranged husband, John. She was 61. She and her family had announced Monday that doctors told her further treatment would do no good.
Gold for Christmas
Gold, platinum and silver have been a good sources of metal to stockpile during times of recession. You can buy these metals from different dealers and have them delivered to your bank or institution according to your specifications. Down through the years the best way I’ve found to have assets available, was to buy expensive jewelry or invest in coins or ingots. If you deal in precious metals then you can buy gold coins as a gift for the holidays.

What's Up?
Here it is only a few more days until Christmas, and I just don't feel it............Does it feel like Christmas to you? For some reason this year has not given me the seasonal feelings, that you get with the passing of each. Spring was nice because it brought the warmer temperatures along with the new leaves, flowers and robins. Summer was odd because it was a slow starter, but then it finally hit with the high hot temperatures. Fall, was also slow and I believe that is what has left me dangling, with the season of Christmas. I'm really having a hard time getting it going and it's almost here. Wow!

Children & Christmas
Christmas is for Children.......
All down through the years, Christmas has held a special meaning.........for young and old alike.........
As you can tell, it has been celebrated by families, local and abroad.....for centuries........... There are Christmas plays, in which the children get to be one of the figures in the Nativity scene at their local church or house of worship.
Each child, looks forward to that special time of the year, when "Santa" comes to visit, with all his goodies...........if you notice, it seems to be the only time you can get the kids to behave themselves much better than any other time........
I was involved with a family that was large with this one and had to have their Christmas in a large family home or go to a civic center and rent it for a few hours. There was always plenty of food, games with prizes and family interaction. Towards the end of the evening one of the family men would dress as Santa and come in the door............to a roaring sound of squeals of delight from the children..........and parents as well............
Each country celebrates Christmas in their own traditional cultures and ways...........these are from El Refugio...
The families of this culture, drive in huge trucks.........long ways to meet with the people, who have brought Santa and gifts to them from other countries. Otherwise, these children might not have a Christmas........
Here are children from Romania, celebrating Christmas.
I'm not sure where or what Shovelako is, but it was listed with this picture.

Where you may be celebrating Christmas...............from all of us to all of you.........
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year............

Lost Love
I lost this man to a set of circumstances back during my high school days. I was very much in love with him, and still love him today. I wish his mother had left us alone so we could have gotten married and been together the rest of our lives.........
