A Hobby

I like to crochet for new babies of the family and friends, it's my gift to them when they have their baby showers. I find out what gender their having(boy or girl) and make a blanket for it.  All the patterns are my own making. I don't read patterns, unless I really want something I see. My grandmother taught me how to do crochet without a book. My mother can crochet with patterns from the books.  I haven't mastered that feat as yet.

Children

It seems that children these days think the world owes them a living and they shouldn't have to work for a thing.  It's one terrible race we've created and I'm scared of the outcome, in later years.  Our children are going through school without being able to write a legible sentence.  It's appalling the way these youngsters write on their text messages.  They are now leaving it to the imagination when they text.  I hope something happens to turn these new generations of youngsters around, before it's too late.

What part of "No" do kids not understand?  They think they can whine at you and you will give in to their begging.  It's bad enough when they are young, but when they are adults, it's even worse.  I have one too many children who think Mom is made of taxi service, emergencies and money.  I'm sure that somewhere along the line, we can blame one of the parents for being to easy on them.  Now, I am reaping what I sowed or what the other parent sowed.  Not fair, that I have to take their blame as well.
