My Partner

This is one of her more peaceful moments, because I'm out there with her.  Many of the other moments, she has to fight the neighborhood stray cats for her food.  I even caught one of them coming into my home to get her food whild I had the ktechen door propped ope to let in fresh air.  One evening I heard her hissing and so help me, there was a possum coming in the door to get the food. 

Storms

Once again our area has been attacked with a disaster.  Last nights storms spawned tornadoes that took lives and destroyed homes as well as businesses.  Today the DFW area of Texas is still reeling from this onslaught of Mother Nature.  Our prayers are with the victim's and their families.

What's Up?

Here we are in the middle of Spring and a cold front comes through?  What's up with that?  It warms back up into the 80's and here comes another cool front.  Damn, it it going to be this way come summer?  That would make for some horrendous storms in our areas.  We sure wouldn't like that idea.

How in the Hell?

Seems like sometimes you just can't get it right no matter what you do.  How do you meet someone and it be so perfect for such a great time and then suddenly fall apart right in front of your face.  A relationship between two people is supposed to be a good one.  The one I've been in has been very good, until last weekend.  Now, I wonder if it's worth carrying any further.  So many things happened that could have been different, has the right choices been made.  I just don't know where to go with this, and am scared it will become a mountain instead of a molehill.

Old Pests

It never fails, that just when you think you've rid yourself of unwanted people, they come back to haunt you.  A recent voice mail, grabbed my attention, when I heard the person's name mentioned.  It struck an alarm cord in my brain, which blasted me with all modes of memories.  Not good ones either.  I immediately got the return phone number and called the offices of that attorney.  Yes, it was the law looking for that person.  My contact with that person had been severed many years ago.  Yet, here I was fearing the worst and hoping I was not involved.  To my relief, I was just a source they had listed for this person.  Removal was to be made for me. 

Journey Ended

Last Sunday night on Easter, changed our lives within in the family.  Mother passed away and took many years of living life along with her.  You are never ready for this to happen, even though you know that each one has his own day coming.  Being human causes this to happen.  I am now the oldest in the family and that's not a good feeling.  All too soon, I will be going the same course as she has.  It is my hope that I can handle that day in my life, with dignity and grace.
