Small Child

As a small child I lived with my grandma, uncle, grandpa, and at night........we went up and stayed at my Great grandma's........so, she wouldn't be alone........she was in her latter years.....
Then Christmas time would come around, I knew we didn't have a fireplace, and the front door was always locked at night.  I asked how he would manage to get in, in order to leave a gift for us?  The answer was..........oh don't worry, he has magic, he'll make it in somehow.........well, he did and this small girl would get most of what she had told Grandma, that she wanted Santa to bring her.......

Children

I have 5 children and they are definitely different.  I wonder how some of them will be spending their holiday's?  Some will keep me updated and yet there are at least 2 who won't tell me a thing unless I ask them.  I've sent a gift card to some but there's always one that forgets or doesn't let you have an address that current.  Imagine that!  It's only going to make things harder to get done by the actual day.  So, why can't they just cooperate?

Christmas

Each year we have managed to get together for the holiday's.  This year has gone the opposite direction.  We haven't gotten together, and I suppose it was going to happen sooner or later.  My life has taken a different route and it's not allowing me much family exposure.  I hope this will change soon, because I do miss getting together with the other's in my life.

Sister's

Finally, got together with my sister for lunch today.  We had a good time, at one of our favorite  places and feasted on a good lunch.  Her sister in law was with us and we swapped our usual stories about things that had been going on in our recent lives.  In all it turned out well and we were full when we left.

Finances

A Stump

This is the day after they started cutting the big elm tree back.  Today, it's only stumps the size you see in this picture, because they came back and finished the trimming.  Actually, I consider it more than trimming, down right cutting it down would be more to the subject.  Either way the stately elm tree is now just stumps and will probably continue to rot.
