A Cold

How do you feel lousy and worry at the same time?  I'm so sick with sinus and cold that I can't hardly stay up any length of time.  My son is in the hospital with what could be a blood clot in his lungs or even worse a embolism.  He's been through one health problem after another and is lucky to be alive all these years.  I don't usually get sick, but when I do it's a knock down version.  Either way, it's very hard to be sick and worried at the same time...........yuck!

My Son

My oldest son, was rushed to the hospital 2 nights ago, with severe chest pains.  They ran tests and found him to have a blood clot in each lung.  I'm worried about him, but unable to make the trip up to see him, and let him know I'm there to support him.  His wife and kids are there so maybe they can help him with the strength he needs to get through this tough time.

Mom, has a hard time with her hearing these days, and she has to stop and listen real close to what you say.  Looks like she's trying to think of something witty to say to whatever she's hearing.

 

Henry just listens and lets her talk, but most of the time, he's telling about his past experiences in the military.  Heck, what else does he have to do, these are his memories.

Mom was her usual self, trying to make witty comments, and giving her opinions.  That's ok, cause there'll come a time she won't do that anymore.......

Henry was sitting by the Christmas tree, but it being too close to the fireplace cause him to move back further from the heat he began to feel.  I can't believe he is 89 years old.

It was a nice warm cozy dinner, with Mom & Henry, Don & Becky and me.  Being single makes you a outside party at any get together.  My sister went out of her way to make everyone comfortable and happy.  She made it a good Christmas for everyone who was there.  Don and Henry were having fun opening presents.

Belly Fat

Sad Decline

I saw my friend with her husband at a birthday party on Saturday. Although they weren't able to stay long, still they made the effort to come out and make an appearance.  He is so frail and sick which makes me almost cry to see how he has declined.  A year ago he was so full of energy and life.  To see him today brings me to a very sad moment.  I know he is suffering while he maintains some sort of composure.  She is doing her best to keep both their spirits up and being ever watchful for any signs of problems.  My heart goes out to both of them and I made sure that she knew I was there if anything happened.

Stretch Marks

You name it, it's either being over weight or pregnant that causes these ugly places on your skin.  My youngest daughter has them and they are beyond repair, other than plastic surgery.  There are topical creams offered that are said to be great.  You can get the information about them, by accessing the website at reducingstretchmarks.net and looking around. Don't See It....

I remember all the times I put myself through traumatic situations, because I wanted to be in a relationship.  I felt that maybe I could the the right person, for this man and make things happen for us.  I just couldn't see what everyone else already knew.  I found out much too late that there wasn't any hope for a relationship to be founded and established with this man.  He was too selfish and demanding to give the love that was needed to meld a relationship and make it health for both of us.  Today, I watch as my children live these types of situations, and wonder how I could help them.  Nay, I'm sure because they need to grow in their lives as I had to and the part that's the hardest. 

Why?

I wonder why it takes so much longer, and a lot more effort to get that extra weight off, than it does to put it on?  It's just a matter of eating something you like and wham, you have it all in the wrong places.  Choosing diet pills  can be a task and sometimes it's necessary to get a doctor's opinion, before doing anything. I don't like to diet, and I'm sure that I'm not alone with my feelings.  It's so hard to keep with the plan, and be focused on what needs to be done.

Fireplace

When my sister came to town, she brought with her some useful gadgets and man was I proud to get them.  It was great to see her, visit and have lunch with her.  Her presents were most welcomed, because I had just moved into a new place and didn't have those tools to enhance the fireplace.  I really appreciate the efforts she's made in helping me here in the mean old world.

Cookware

Sister Visiting

I will be getting a visit from my sister tomorrow, because she is coming into town for a Dr's appt. and then to bring me some things to enhance my apartment.  I recently moved to a new apartment and it has a fireplace.  She has found some items that will be useful with it and is bringing them when she comes.  I've gotten rid of a bunch of stuff, and it made the move easier.  Some of the stuff she gave me, and I'm worried that it will hurt her feelings that I got rid of it?  Hopefully, I can smooth over the feelings and she will be able to understand and accept my actions.

The Rage

It's taken over the small transistor radio, portable cassette players and other devices that we used down through the years.  You see people running with these in their hands or pockets.  I suppose it helps them utilize the time spent exercising, while listening to music on their ipods  selections.  The only drawback I can see in this situation, the the ability to hear some of the things that may be happening around you.  Some areas of our town, is unsafe to exercise and you need to be able to hear approaching traffic.

9 Yr. Old Looses Life

 
Christina was shot and killed Saturday, along with five other people killed outside a supermarket where a neighbor had taken her to meet Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. The brown-eyed athletic 9-year-old girl was an aspiring politician and had just been elected to the student council at Tucson's Mesa Verde Elementary School.  Inspired by a tragedy on her birth date, Sept. 11, 2001, another national tragedy took the third-grader's life. 
Our condolences go out to this family at their loss and to the other families who have experienced the same during this awful time.

I'm Jealous

I friend of mine got the chance to go and stay for 6 months at a company cottage up in North Carolina. It seems this cottage is used for different dignitaries at certain times of the year to just get away from the big city atmosphere and relax. Fully furnished and equipped with internet connections, this nice cozy place is nestled back up in the woods, with a small lake out front. They even had plenty of wood brought in for the fireplace during the winter months. Bill, says he's trying to find places to put a lot of the things he took up with him, but is still enjoying being there. This is a chance not many of us can take, and he's got it all going for him. Him being single helped to ease the stress of the move, and stay. He is able to work while there because of his expertise, computer programming.

I must apologize for my lazy self, as it seems I've gotten far too lazed in my upkeep of my blogs.  It's necessary to write often in order to make the website's and readers find an array of new things to see.  I feel that the holiday's took some of the spunk I had for writing.  I suppose with this new year, I will be able to find worthy bit of news and idea's to give air to.
