The Last One

We got together for Thanksgiving at my sister's home.......since it turned off cold, she decided that she wanted a fire.......my step-dad and Mom came.  I was glad my sister offered to cook this year, it seems that I've been doing that for many years........glad she took the helm.  None of my kids were able to make it out, because of one thing or the other.
There hasn't been a get together since that year because of events that we had to adjust to.  Now, we make do with what we have and go from there.  Each day is a toss up as we endeavor to make some sense of our lives.
