In the last 2 months it seems that Mother has had an infection which ran up her white blood count and cause her stomach to swell. They never found what caused it, but tried to rule out a few things that the nursing home had been doing which could cause it. In the last 2 years she's been in the hospital several times. One of those times led to her being put in the nursing home because of her inability to take care of herself properly. I believe those places are good for taking care of people who can't, but not people who won't. Just saying.......
