The octuplets born to a mother in Southern California are doing "very, very well" and breathing on their own, one of their doctors said Tuesday. The mother, who was not identified, gave birth Monday to the six boys and two girls weighing between 1 pound, 8 ounces, and 3 pounds, 4 ounces. The eighth baby was a surprise to the parents and doctors who had been expecting only seven children.

Dog Attacks

There have been more than one instance where dogs have mauled, children and adults as well. In most instances, the dogs were Pits or Rotts, so why are these dogs being allowed in residential areas?
A 3-year-old Fort Worth girl was mauled to death by a Rottweiler after police said she crawled through an opening in a fence separating two back yards. This is a horrible thing to happen, and I wonder where the parents were, when all this was happening? Yet, this is a 3 yr. old that wasn't being supervised and now they have no small girl to play with anymore. Reports are that she had severe face, head and neck injuries.
Police say the dog was seized by animal control and after further investigation into the case it is possible the dog will be euthanised. It is my belief that these type of dogs should be out on a farm. At one time I had a dog that bit several people, and the vet told me the dog would never be any good for anything but to run loose on a farm. I have no idea what happened to that dog, because after he attacked one of my children, I left him at the pound and never brought him home again. My child was more important to me.

Holodomor

The truth about the famine in 1932-33 in the Soviet Union, is told at the website, that I just visited. The holodomor as it's called is estimated to have been produced by Stalin in order to control the food production. Due to this process there were many people who died because of lack of resources producing food. The famine affected most major grain-producing agricultural areas of the Soviet Union, including Northern Caucasus, Volga Region, South Urals, West Siberia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine. The governments seized grains from the peasantry and exported most of their Republic's agricultural output to the West. This left people without enough grain to make bread and they were unable to survive, without funds to buy food. The seizure was done in order to sustain the rapid economic transformation - "Industrialization" and "Collectivization" - policy designed by Joseph Stalin.
It was called the "great hunger" that caused million of victims throughout the Soviet Union in 1932-1933. There was estimated to be about 6-8 million peasants deaths during the famine. It was considered to be an ineffective economic policy of the Communist governments of the Republics of the Soviet Union. The word "golodomor" has been transformed into "holodomor" making it look and sound like "holocaust." In order to politicize the issue of "golodomor," the politicians against the common enemy suggested that it could be considered as a genocide. They suggest that it was planned by Stalin's regime in order to force through the Soviet Union's policy of collectivization of agriculture.

She Won't Budge....

I have a hard headed daughter that won't budge to suggestions that she should change her type of employment to support her health. This job she has is one that she loves, and it's hard for her to accept doing anything else. But her health is going down hill because of all the injuries, and I can't seem to get it across to her stubborn mind, that it's time to go to another type of job. She rationalizes the situation, and I don't like her idea, that she at least won't live to be old. My Child

Children can be such a problem to associate with. It seems that they don't know when enough is enough. I've been a parent now over 45 years and it's seems they still can't get it straight. Especially the youngest one, who of course was spoiled by her father, because he thought she would be his last child............of course that was short lived when he married the next wife.
Either way, our daughter, has been a pain and it's not getting any better. I really can't handle the way she carries herself, you would think instead of almost being 30, she is in fact 17. This is the way she handles her life and actions. I've all but thrown up my hands in true disgust and being tired. I believe it's time she deals with her actions, and not have everyone bailing her out. I'm tired of the money being squandered for trivial things and stupid whims. She can't seem to keep a job, but she can sure get herself in plenty of fixes..........some involving the law........As I said.........I am tired............and spent..........and have no more money for her crap.........Time for little girl...to grow up!

Our sincere condolences go out to John and his family at the loss of their son, Jett.........the horror of loosing a child, is great for any parent and we all pray for John, his family and friends during this time of loss. It was told that Jett has had health problems, for some time and was closely supervised because of it. Friends and other family members, are there with the family to support them, and comfort them as they try to sort out this death.
