Back when I was raising my children, it was cloth diapers. By the time my last child was born, I had actually become able to afford disposable diapers. She was so tiny when we brought her home, that I had to cut down the "newborns" so they would fit her. She wore her size "O" dresses and clothes until she was 3 months old.
Today's world are not accustomed to cloth diapers and would probably be over wrought with the extra work it would take to make them usable, not to mention using safety pins, and pulling them through your hair to sharpen them, so they would go through several layers of cloth. Then there's the plastic pants, to keep them from wetting on you.........!
