What are the people of our State Senate thinking? They just sent a bill to the desk of the Governor Rick Perry, to be signed and passed into law. This bill will be chocked full of budget cuts, which include funds to our schools. I believe this is a total disaster and I know there could have been another way to handle this matter.
Why couldn't they have put a 5 or 10 cent tax on all alcohol & cigarette sales? I'm sure this could have helped with the budget and the families of the young children who are needing public education wouldn't mind a bit. Wise up, Texas.......we need a change!
