After months of waiting and preparation it's finally happened.  William and Kate are now husband and wife, starting a new life in a world of eyes.  Today, they started off as different people and became the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.  Congratulations to the new couple and best wishes for a long happy life together.

 My camera isn't very good for taking pictures, but this is a necklace made by my sister.  She gave it to me this last weekend, when I went out to visit for Easter.  She has taken classes in jewelry making and is now in full motion of making some outstanding sets of jewelry.

Tomato Plant

I have an upside down hanging tomato plant.  This is a picture of the first blooms which seem to have taken forever to grow.  I suppose there isn't as much sun on my patio as I thought there would be, therefore the plant is taking it's time.  I can also attribute the weather changes for some of it's slow growth.  It's been a cool warm spring.  I mean that one week it's really nice and warm, the next week a cool front will come in and the temperatures drop.  This is rough for the plants to endure during growing season.

Time is Ripe

I found some cantaloupes at the local grocery store 2 days ago.  They looked fair for the price, so I bought this one.  It's not a good one, like I thought it to be.  It looks as though they were selling them cheap because they were about to go bad.  Time was of the essence to get them moved out of the store.  There's a place already forming which will need trimming off, when I process it for consumption.

Step Dad

I have a step-dad that is well up in his 80's.  As a matter of fact he will become 90 in May and we are hoping he makes it.  He is becoming so feeble and has been falling too much lately.  I fear he is going to hurt himself really bad and then be in dire physical condition.  Mom, is getting feeble as well and it's very hard for her to get around, much less help him when he falls.  They haven't said anything about a nursing home, I think they are trying to stay at home as long as they can for each other.

Travel

Trees

 

Just 2 months ago these trees were bare and covered in snow.  Here it is April and they are full of leaves making for good shade.  These trees are right outside my back door, so I am able to view them every time I go to my car.  Just behind those trees are 4 volleyball courts at this sports club 2 doors down.  I hear there's also a swimming pool, restaurant, bar and plenty of fun.

Allergies

 This year has been determined as a very bad year for allergies.  I know it first hand, because I experience it on a daily basis.  The doctor's prescribe all types of remedies to help with the effects of our allergies, but not all of them help.  I've seen some people have it so bad that they needed to have a dehumidifier  turned on at all times.  I'm fairly lucky with the fact that I can use over the counter products to ease the problems.  I will admit there have been times that I could have used a dehumidifier.  For more information, click on the above link.

Lost?

Have you ever felt as if the world was passing you by, and you were lost somewhere?  Standing in a crowd can be very lonely for many of us.  It's very important to feel useful in some manner.  The right place and right time doesn't always come to fruit.  I've gone out so many times looking for something to do, or someplace to be.  Being single and alone is the pits.......I hate being alone.....but it's better than being in a bad relationship.

Mother's Day

It's coming up real soon, and I actually remember making a personal gift card for my Mother a couple of years back.  It listed all of the children's names in the sequence they were born.  She looked on it in amazement that I had the knowledge still in my head after all these years.  Many of my siblings died as infants and I never knew them, but I remembered the names and the sequence they were born.

Zuccini

I planted 4 seeds and they have successfully germinated and come up.  Now, I will see if they will fare the size of the pot I have them planted in.  Apartment patio's are not really equipped to grow many plants, because of the limited hours of the sun.  Either way I will have some form of green plants growing on my patio, whether they produce fruit or not.

Cheaper Insurance

 I have seen the advertisements about people who are older and retired.  They say we can get cheaper auto insurance.  The state that I live in, raised the rates on cheap auto insurance quote for this year.  So, getting them to decrease my premiums last year didn't help me one bit.  They went right back up this year.  I also get told that it's because of my age and that I'm in a "high risk" bracket.  To me that sounds like a form of age discrimination and that's not funny.

Over 50, Alone

I don't know if you can relate to this article or not.  I find myself in the position of being older and alone.  It's not a good feeling to be alone, and you often make decisions that are not to your benefit, because of it.  I find that when the opposite sex gives me attention, it boosts my ego and self esteem.  Falling for someone's advances is too easy and I must take care to watch these loose actions.  Being alone at my age is not a nice feeling and it tells many people to think negative things about me.  They often consider me too hard and cold to get along with.  They may be right on those subjects, because of the abuse I received when I actually tried to have relationships.  It's very hard to believe that someone has the right feelings for me, and are not just out to get a free ride.  This often keeps me to myself, and very alone.

Something New

I made a radical change in my life recently, and everyone considered me crazy.  I moved out of the apartment I was in and upgraded my life to a better surrounding.  The radical change came when I told the movers to throw all the old furniture out on the side of the road.  I was tired of the old stuff and wanted new modern furniture  to give my ego and self esteem a boost. I bought a new mattress and box spring to get started at the new place.  To this date I haven't found the time or cash to invest in much else.

Yummy

Breakfast time is always something left uncared for around my place.  I just grab something in a hurry and make it do until lunch time comes around.  The above is something I find easy to grab, pop in the microwave and munch on with a good hot cup of coffee.  It's quick and easy, chocked full of all the bad stuff and oh so sweet.

You Always Need.......

Even though I work at home, I still find the need for certain office supplies to handle any hard copy I must keep.  I have to go to the local office supply  store and pick up printer paper, ink and other things that are used on a daily basis.  I need to make the time to shop online and save myself some extra time and effort.  It's more convenient to shop online and get your materials delivered, than going out and shopping for them. 

Mistake.......

You never know when accepting an email can cause you problems.  It's happened several times in the last few months and it's very disturbing.  I don't like being bothered by those people who are trying to run a scam on me.  It's very easy to fall for their antics and become a victim.  I suppose that I will need to be more careful at the situations I allow myself to be in.

Vacation Time

It's almost time for that summer vacation and I know you want to schedule it around the family free times.  There's never enough luggage sets  to pack for a family with children.  Cramming all the necessary items into a certain amount of luggage, is very hard to accomplish.  I suppose you might consider finding a place to invest in more and have the extra travel space for your clothing and such.  For information about certain luggage sets, click on the above link and shop.

Electric

I find the convenience of electricity all included in one utility bill.  I don't like when storms wreak havoc on our area and leave us with no power.  All electric homes and apartments leave you without a way to do you necessary things, when the power goes out.  Most of my life I have had a gas cooking stove, because I felt that the need to cook was very important.  An electric stove can cause you to find a different mode of cooking.  I'm going to save the disaster's that have happened because of my inability to understand electric cooking.  That is another story to be told.

Sales

Are you an expert at selling things?  I found that the person who is good at this type of job, has to be outgoing and personality plus.  The person's presentation can make or break them during a sale.  There are many who are still interested in finding work.  You can click on the sales jobs  link and find jobs listed that can carry you where you want to go.  I'm sure there will be a job that peaks your interest and you can apply for the chance to qualify.

Patio Garden

 

It's become a reality, that I can't do much on an apartment patio.  Heck, I'm lucky to have a patio, because some of the flats don't come with one.  I had to pay a bit extra rent each month, but that's small compared the the pleasure it will give me.  These are new zuccini seeds that sprouted with the nice warmth of the spring sun.  I hope they will do well and maybe I can harvest plenty of nice squash this summer.
