Mobility For Disabled

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of NMEDA for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Increasing need for mobility has become paramount for today's disabled population.  Many years took their toll on disabled individuals and left them stranded, dependent on family or friends to get dire help.  It is great to see the innovations that have been made for these people.  The process of getting help is a huge undertaking and requires professional assistance to get the ball rolling.  I found that  NMEDA is a non-profit trade association; who educates consumers on buying products from a NMEDA qualified dealers.  NMEDA  promotes safe driving and equipment for disabled people and can help them locate a mobility equipment dealer that can provide modifications and adaptive equipment to get them on the road.

After they have been assessed by a professional they should contact a reputable dealer.   The NMEDA has Dealers and Quality Assurance Program dealers who are listed as qualified by this association.  They register these dealers and require them to maintain a professional standard of practice when providing these mobility aides.  The NMEDA Quality Assurance Program is based on the principle that in order to satisfy customers consistently, companies must have a systematic and documented approach to quality.

You will find that costs for buying a wheelchair accessible van or handicap car can be expensive so consider both used and new vehicles.  Not all people with disabilities require identical modifications that 's why an assessment needs to be made before actual equipment can be installed.  The emphasis is on mobility equipment and handicap vehicles while matching the right solution with the right person. A  NMEDA dealer will also help you with any funding applications that may be required.

I went to the website and typed in my zipcode.  There listed on their website was a company that I have seen located on I-30 for several years.  I'm sure you will be able to find one locally when you type in the zipcode where you live.
