Patrick Swayze, opened the Telethon, with "a charge to all" to give to the cause, against the dreaded disease. Suffering himself, he looked gaunt and you could tell he had lost a tremendous amount of weight recently.
James Taylor, and Cheryl Crowe performed "Against the Wind", Melissa Etheridge also performed, she is a cancer survivor.
Katie Curic, told of the devastating effects her life had during the cancer that ripped through her family.
Many Celebrities attended and there were many manning the phone lines, taking donations as they came in.
