Henry

 
Henry Tabor is 91 years old.  He became my step-dad a few years back and it's becoming clear that we won't have him much longer.  This photo was taken back when he was still getting around well.  Today, he is living with Mom in a nursing home, and we worry about how fragile he is.  Falling has become part of his demise, with his body slowly giving way to time and age.  

Alone

I have found that the reports I've read about people who pull away from people and are alone. to be correct.  More and more I come to grips with the fact that I don't want to be out around certain people.  These people irk me and I don't like to be near them.  I have the right to choose who I interact with and who I don't.  The fact that I stay at home to be out of harm's way, is a must for me.  When I go out to do errands or other things, it seems that I'm finding people who could care less whether I'm there or not.  So, I find myself resorting to be obnoxious.  It gets attention.........not the good kind, but they know I'm alive.  Oh well, at least I've done that.

Birthday

The calendar moved around another time for me and here I find an old gray headed. wrinkled woman.  Yet, I love the idea of being alive. 
I spent the day at home and cooked, ate then got fatter.  :(  You can always do that instead of going out to places and people who really don't care and issue fake congrats.  My sister came the next day and brought me gifts then bought my lunch.  It was a nice time except for going to the nursing home to see Mom and Henry.  It always depresses me to go there, since it reminds me of my own mortality.

Royal Heir

It seems that Britian has a new royal heir in the making.  William and Kate have confirmed that she is expecting their first child.  Kate was admitted to the hospital for severe "morning sickness" this week, where she spent 4 days resting.  She left the hospital today and will be resting for a few days to get back on her feet.  Much speculation about the pending birth has been flying around the news media's.  Now it's a wait and see for the next few months.

The Food

We had baked ham, chicken & dressing, sweet potatoes, corn, crescent rolls and pies......I ate like a pig, and felt like a pig when I finished my plate........

Tomorrow

This is the eve of "Thanksgiving" this year.  Tomorrow most people will be with family & friends having their get togethers and enjoying a good meal.  There will be those who have only the support of local agencies to get a good meal.  Many who lived through the last disaster here in America are still maintaining while living in makeshift homes.  Their families are suffering as we speak and the weather hasn't helped either.  For those of us who has all the amenities of home, I'm sure it will give more meaning to what we can be thankful for.  To those of you who read my blogs, I wish you the best and safest you can possibly have.

The Last One

We got together for Thanksgiving at my sister's home.......since it turned off cold, she decided that she wanted a fire.......my step-dad and Mom came.  I was glad my sister offered to cook this year, it seems that I've been doing that for many years........glad she took the helm.  None of my kids were able to make it out, because of one thing or the other.
There hasn't been a get together since that year because of events that we had to adjust to.  Now, we make do with what we have and go from there.  Each day is a toss up as we endeavor to make some sense of our lives.

Bathtubs

Times were when you could see the old "clawfoot" bathtub sitting in a home of distinction.  Back then it was a good thing to be able to afford one along with running water.  Today, people draw a piece of the past back when they shop for  vintage bathtubs  to decorate their homes.  The nostalgia it gives is one of remembrance by those who lived during those times.

Twice

In the last 2 months it seems that Mother has had an infection which ran up her white blood count and cause her stomach to swell.  They never found what caused it, but tried to rule out a few things that the nursing home had been doing which could cause it.  In the last 2 years she's been in the hospital several times.  One of those times led to her being put in the nursing home because of her inability to take care of herself properly.  I believe those places are good for taking care of people who can't, but not people who won't.  Just saying.......

This Year

The upcoming holiday's are going to be something to endure once again.  For the last 3 years our family has been feeling the sadness of loss with people we know and love passing on.  It's a normal thing to experience in life, but one that no one wants.  This year if things go as planned we will be able to spend another holiday season with the older folks.  This is something that we hold on to, because we know it won't be long until they will be gone as well. His Future?

Safe

I sat here at the computer and watched as the storm unfolded across the eastern coastline of America.  In it's path was my oldest son, his family, coworkers and friends.  I kept in touch with them via cell phones and this internet.  I am thankful to say that they made it through the trying time and are safe from harm.  Their home didn't suffer any damage and my grand daughter was back at work the next day.  Since the tunnels and roads to Norfolk were closed, he wasn't able to make it to work.  In all I am happy the way things turned out for them, and wish others had been as lucky.  My prayers are with the many people who are in the devastation cause by this storm.

Waters Rise

I have family in Virginia who are in the middle of this huge storm now attacking the east coast.  I fear they will have tremendous problems with their property as this storm passes through their area.  I am watching the new closely and trying to keep in touch with them as the weather reeks it's havoc on the coastal areas in the east.  Prayers are requested, please.

I seem to have problem children.  They enjoy getting into trouble and then sitting back whining about how it's someone else's fault and they were just trying to help.  Then you have children who go head on into trouble and shrug their shoulders.  I'm in the midst of a trying time with my youngest and it's taking it's toll on me.  No matter what I do she finds a way to come back with a negative.  I'm so very tired of all the bullshit and constant worry.  When will this 33 year old grow up?

3 Blind Women

It's come down to the fact that the 3 of us are getting a bit older and our eyes are starting to give us fits.  Last week my sister's sister in law had cataract surgery, I've been needing to get this done for some time now.  Then this week my sister had to have surgery for a "detached retina" and she's in real sad shape.  In a few weeks I head to the eye doctor to get my eyes checked and then it's on to the trauma ahead which I will be facing.  I am not ready for this and keep asking myself, how did I get this old?  So, I call us the "3 blind women"......yuck!

Drama

This is a very bad subject to embark upon.  I hate drama and all that goes with it.  Finding peaceful surroundings after all these years, is what I relish.  To have someone destroy the peace, with their never ending dramas, is a pain in my ass.  You have children in hopes that they will grow up and use their learning years to make a good life.  There's never a true way to make sure this happens.  The young people of today's world seem to think that if they aren't doing something to get attention, then they are being seen in the public eye.  Getting notice, is full of subjects and some of the subjects are not pleasant.  I have some children who think that constant drama is the only way of life.  Needles to say, I try and put as much distance between me and these people as possible for as long as possible.

I Let Her In

Well, I got tired of her meowing at me wanting back in so I let her come back in.  Just as I expected she started that damn harking once again.  This time I was blessed, that she didn't have anything in her stomach to throw up.  I put down some dry food with the hope that it will stick to her stomach and she won't be throwing up anymore today.

Yuck...

My cat must have had a hairball, because this morning she ate then walked into the living room and threw up.  Talking about a mess.  I'm not good handling "throw up" of any type.  Human or pet "throw up" will make me start gagging and think I'm about to do the same thing.  It turns my stomach and there's nothing I can do about it.  Now, she's outside crying at me wanting to come back in the house.  I'm not going for it, because she could have some left over in there and put it in here as well.  No, she can just stay out there for awhile and get rid of it all "outside".

Night Time

Here it is night time and I am sitting here deciding whether or not to go put a movie in the DVD.  It's a bit past the time I usually put one in.  I try to have it finished by the time the 10pm news comes on so I can get update reports on the weather and local news.  I guess I'll just sit here longer and forget the movie tonight.  There's not much else to do here in this small town, where I live.  If you drive the speed limit, you will miss Main Street. 

The Age

I'm to the point that many people look at me in a different way.  Where once there was a young lady who was full of life, now stands an older woman.  It's been coming for awhile, and I've tried very hard not to grow old gracefully.  Here I am looking at the fixed income and wondering how I got here so damn fast?  I am thankful that I am still alive and most of all fairly healthy.  I should look at the fact that there are those who are not in as good a shape.  Everyday above ground is a good day.

Big Move

My grandson and his family recently moved back to Texas.  They moved out to the El Paso, TX area and found a place to settle in.  It's never easy moving from one place to another, and even harder from one state to another.  I can't fathom moving from one country to another. 
Not only was it a long drive, but there were 3 young children along as well.  I'm not sure if they brought any of the pets or not.  From the post I've seen on Facebook that his wife has made recently, they seem to be adapting well.  This is a good thing, and I hope it stays good.

I will be getting a visit from my sister tomorrow, because she is coming into town for a Dr's appt. and then to bring me some things to enhance my apartment.  I recently moved to a new apartment and it has a fireplace.  She has found some items that will be useful with it and is bringing them when she comes.  I've gotten rid of a bunch of stuff, and it made the move easier.  Some of the stuff she gave me, and I'm worried that it will hurt her feelings that I got rid of it?  Hopefully, I can smooth over the feelings and she will be able to understand and accept my actions.

Mom

I went with my sister to the nursing home yesterday.  Mom, had been having some drainage and coughing so they were giving her meds for it.  It's always at least 2 visits a week made by my sister, to make sure that the parents are doing ok and their needs are being met.  I go more often than I want to but it makes for a day out with my sister and that's a good thing.  Many years we were apart and not together as we are now.  I am thankful that God has taken things and turned them around to a good relationship between us.

Violence

I've been looking at the local news.  There's always the wrecks that happen when morning commutes are taking place.  The deaths or attacks from violence have been properly published in the local news.  It seems that I have been scouring through them to keep from delving into the horrible world news.  America, is in the middle of it again.  It's just another time in our lives, when the other countries think they can use our country as a scapegoat to launch their angers.  It's unkind for them to do this sort of thing, when our country comes to their aide time and time again.  Why, do they think that attacking us makes for any change?  They will still be the culture that they are, and we will still be America.  It's just disgusting.

Post 911

Our nation observed the tragic event of 2001, yesterday.  We were glad that each observance was had during the day, without incident.  It's always a time to reflect and look back at the scene's recorded as they happen.  Every strategic source is on alert when certain events like this are unfolding.  We American's take our freedom and safety as something precious.  For terrorists to come here and ruin this is unthinkable.  We are thankful that yesterday went unscathed.  

Winterize

The ending of summer has arrived and with it comes the urgency to get ready for winter.  Having a pool during the winter makes for much trouble.  You almost always need to drain it, and make it winter ready.  To update your pool and keep it open this winter, why not install a  raypak pool heater   to warm the water during those cool times?  I think it's cool to drive by a pool in the winter and see the steam rising from the water in the crisp air.

Family Time

This morning was the day to go visit the nursing home, and check on Mom & Pop for their needs.  My sister comes and gets me for a trip to have lunch, visit them and go shopping if we need things.  It's a time we can visit with each other and make sure that everything is going well at the nursing home.
Mom, was actually in a good mood today, which is better than so of the times we experience.  She still found something that she wanted us to bring her from home.  It's as if she's trying to find out what we've gotten rid of and what we've kept of their things, since the move.  Times are that we just have to tell them, it's not there anymore, because we moved it out and took it somewhere.  She doesn't like it, but that's a way of life that comes when these things happen.

Approaching Fall

Seasons come and go with life's everyday happenings.  Today, is "Labor Day" and with it comes the "MD" telethon, among things like enjoying the last days of summer.  The children are back in school, and now we are heading toward the holiday's that are coming fast.  Each year around this time, we get ready for the fall and winter months.  These approach very quickly along with all the different qualms we face when the year ends.  Maybe today, we can reflect on the election along with things we will need for the holiday's.  Have a great rest of the year, for soon it will be over and a new year will begin.

Stuck

      I've got a time that has me stuck at home for at least 65 more days.  I get outdoors to do things that's needed.  My sister comes and takes me to the stores to buy things for the house and groceries.  Until Nov. 15th, I will be without transportation except for her assistance.  When that date arrives, "Katie bar the door" cause I'm in the car and gone down the roads to enjoy life once again.

A Home

 It's become almost like a tourist attraction, with people making a choice to move east.  Moving to the cooler states can give each person a sense of the history found here.  The  highlands north carolina real estate  will show you numerous estates to choose from.  Living in these areas gives you the feeling of home and history related grounds.  You have various sights to explore and places to visit while enjoying a country life style.

Mom is 87

Well, Mom turned 87 last Sunday on the 25th and she still lays right in that bed.  She doesn't try to do anything but find things to gripe about and lets people wait on her hand and foot.  It was a sad day when we had to finally accepted that she just wasn't going to try anymore.  Try as we did to talk some sense into fell on deaf ears.  I call it that because even though she would listen to us, the above is what you will see, when you walk into her room.  She stopped the physical therapy, saying that is wasn't doing anything for her.  It's just really sad that she stopped caring to live and enjoy what life she has left.  Her day consists of watching TV, griping, waiting on people to walk in the door to visit with and giving certain worker's a piece of her mind if things don't go according to her schedule.

Mossquitos

Our areas here in the DFW, are in a huge epidemic with "West Nile Virus" from bites these mosquitos are giving us.  There are nightly spraying's of the insecticide to combat the pest.  We hope this will be of great help, because several have already died and many are sick in hospitals.  It is my hope that this problem is over with very soon.

87

Sunday will be my mother's 87th birthday.  She has managed to live this long even though she's been bed ridden the last year in a nursing home.  Her husband turned 91 in May of this year and lives in the same room with her, but manages to roll the wheel chair down the hall to the cafeteria.  We've tried to get Mom to get in a wheel chair and go with him, but she just digs her heels in and pulls the stubborn act on us.  This is her way of making us take care of her anyway.  So, with this day coming, I hope all comes out well for each of us.

Back Up

You never know when a computer is going to crash.  You hope that some of the warning signs are false and you are just having a bad day.  Needless to say, I've been in the position of loosing all the data on my hard drive.  Not funny and neither is it when a company experiences the same.  There is the  cloud backup solutions  company which you can utilize for such situations.  Their services are certain to be valuable to any company.

Texas Heat

I'm having to keep an eye on my chest freezer.  The heat is playing it hard on the fridge and the freezer.  I'm not able to keep them very cool because I don't run the A/C anymore than I absolutely have to.  The electric bill will be high even with the way I use it at night.  I only turn it on during the day when I can't stand the heat because of the triple digit temperatures.  Looks like today will be another hot one, and I'm worried that this heat has killed the compressor on my freezer.  If so, then there goes my food and the expense of buying another freezer soon.  The life of an older person who is on a fixed income is not easy and always takes more money than we make.

Me

I still had a cloth diaper on, so I couldn't have been over a year to a year and a half old.  Yes, this is me, when I was a little baby girl.  Nita Kaye was born in December 1944 and this is a picture of me the next year up and walking like a big girl.  Note the curly hair, which is natural and still with me even today, many years later.

Drought

If not corn, then soybeans?  It may turn out to be that way because of the drought.  The corn crops have been hit hard with this year's drought.  Soybeans, may rally if we can get cooler weather and some rain.  This will give us some form of help, but we still have lost the corn.
In my garden, not only did lack of rain cause my corn to be bad, the grasshoppers devoured what there was to get.

Seat Belts

 I know you have heard about seat belts during car crashes.  Sometimes they get stuck and you can't get them to unlock during dire emergencies.  It's a good idea to invest in the  seat belt cutter at MartorUSA.com   for such situations.  I know that it would be an awful feeling if I were locked in a car that was on fire or going under water.

Rain

Everyone is getting rain but our town.  Man, that's not nice and we sure do need it.  If nothing else to cool down the hot temperatures that we've been having.  What a horrible time it's been just trying to stay cool.  Texas is just that way every year in the summer.

Somehow.........

I see no end to the constant battle with drugs and alcohol additions here in our country.  It's become a way of life around the world.  Many people have lost their lives to this stuff and the way it looks we are in for a long haul.  Every week you hear of someone coming up dead or maimed from over indulgence of some illegal substance or drink.  I'm sure there's an answer somewhere, but how will we get past the problems to the answer?

Repairs

My son live in Virginia Beach, VA and when that fast moving storm hit recently it tore plenty of homes apart.  Somehow, his family wasn't one of the victims where the storms hit.  I realize that loss of power is a huge problem during the summer months, and your health can suffer.  Repairing the disaster areas has been expensive with the need for replacement windows virginia beach   along with  other units to make properties usable once again.  More information can be found at the link above.

Children

It's been the same recently and I just can't understand how they can keep the pace?  They throw their fate to the wind and then try to fall back on family members to bail them out of the situations they are in.  I realize it's a part of life where the children learn what they should so that, when our day to pass on arrives, they will be ready to face life without us.  I don't see this happening for many children in today's world.  They are too dependent on their parents and extended families.  It's a shame what we have allowed our children to become because we fear the laws and government rule.

Church

How often have you found yourself sitting in one of many  church pews chairs  at a local church?  Today you find that some churches have installed soft cushions to keep your bones from going through the wood seats.  The wood pews have been around for years and are very uncomfortable to sit on at long periods of time.  Being involved in church activity brings about decisions of how the church can maintain and stay upgraded. 

Mom

This is one of the few times I will ever have of her eating, because she has stopped and we had to have a feeding tube installed.  She will drink water during the day and snack on things she really wants, but to intake a meal or even try is something she balks at.  She was in the hospital in this picture.  This was one of the many trips she made last year before we put her in the nursing home for special care.  It's just too bad that she chose to go this route, because she was so active before.

Welding

Medicaid

We have had to make up the difference in financial assistance at the nursing home where my parents are living.  It took awhile to get them completely covered for their medical needs. Now, they have full coverage, but before we got it for them, a large bill was run up on their needs and it's something that didn't get taken care of properly.  We still have to pay on it for another year or so.

We Are Sad

The recent event which cause many lives to be taken and a numerous amount of people injured is beyond our understanding.  We feel that this could have happened here where we live as it did in the other state.  Seeing how the young man is acting gives me goose bumps, because if the demeanor.  Either he was drugged and maintained a strike force attack because of certain other aspects unknown, or he actually lost it.  Our condolences to the families and friends who have been affected by the rampage.

Veiwing Art

I've often thought of how much time goes into drawing and making the beautiful paintings we are allowed to see in museums.  It's amazing the way these people blend the artist paint  to cause certain colors and scenes.  I tried my hand at this one time and realized the expense plus the efforts involved to start such an endeavor.  As with many of my artistic trials, I soon became disinterested, because of the time it took to develop such beauty.

School

The days are back upon youngsters as they go to enroll for their new school year.  Many are ready to get back and see their classmates to hear all the summer stories.  Others are ready to show off their new clothes to their friends and teachers.  This is a bad time for parents, because of the expense involved in clothing these children.

A Party

I went to a party,

Tomorrow is Father's Day.......I want to give credit to my step-dad.  He is a nice sweet man, who has spent his last few year's with my Mom.  I give him credit for his rose colored glasses and the way he uses them.  He is so in love with my Mom, and is has to be that or pure loss of mind.  She pushes him to the very limits and he goes right along with love all in his eyes.  Is he seeing something I'm not? 
To his children:  I say you are sorry, lowdown and no good.  This doesn't give you much to be proud of does it?  After all the years' this man worked and gave you what you needed to grow up and survive, this is the way you say thank you?  I am ashamed of you and I know that your sins will not go unpunished.  Still I wish you could have loved your Father, because of those year's.  Not because you are mad at him for marrying my mother within six months of your mother's death.  He has been happy and that's something you should have wanted for him.  The only sadness he has is the loss of the love of his children.......Shame on you.

My Corn

This is corn in my garden.........it's a first year garden and I am finding what grows good in what area and what doesn't.  The storms blew the corn over 3 times but it managed to raise itself back up as it reached for the sun.  I  now have small ears of corn growing and can't wait to enjoy the fresh sweet corn.

Tomatoes Are Blooming

Great excitement is what comes from seeing your hard work starting to evolve and later pay off.  I can't wait to watch the new tomatoes form and start growing.  Better yet is the day that I will be able to take a big bite of one or slice into a huge one for a sandwich.

Everyone likes to wear  funny shirts   when socializing at different events.  Making a funny shirt have flair is even more important to the occasion.  It says what you may or may not be thinking and at the same time gives others a sense of fun and relaxation.  What can you say, when some one wears a statement shirt?  Nothing the shirt says it all.

Potatoes

The potato plants are growing and soon, they will be blooming.  Very soon after that they above ground plant will start to die back.  It's around this time that we should dig up the potatoes that are growing under ground.  For some reason the "red" potatoes did not fare well, but the "white" one's came up and thrived.  It will be nice to have some home grown vegetables this year.  What would be even better is if I could get the right date back on my camera, but every time I take the disk out to download the pictures, the date changes.

I get all the drama I need from idiots who think I should be in their life.  It can be an acquaintance, a child, or other family members.  I've been included in many different approaches from these so called people, and it's mainly their attempts to get me to use what money I have to help them.  The matter being that they don't want to get up and help themselves rather than beg.  How did these people evolve to this type of life?  I can't understand how they think the world owes them a living?  That's what wrong with our America today.  Too many of these idiots are living off of the efforts of too few actual workers.

Tough Love

Sometimes you just can't help someone, who has no idea what's wrong with them.  Maybe they don't want you to change them, but just accept them.  It's not an option when they keep messing up and leaning on you for support when they aren't trying.  When you help someone who is down and out then you expect them to try and do better.  They need to see that you are tired of their crap and don't want to be used.  Sometimes you just have to say "no" and cut them off.

From the reports the weather bureau is listing, we may be in for some more bad weather.  It's predicted that the mid-western states are set up to catch very bad weather and unfortunately we are part of those states.  We recently had our share of tornadoes and now they are predicting a possibility of more for us to endure.  I'm worried about the high winds because of how strong they have been lately.

Last Sunday was Easter and I made my way to the nursing home to visit Mom.  I clipped a few iris blooms from the yard and arranged them in some water, before I went.  It was good that I took these blooms, because she enjoyed seeing some of the plants she had put in the yard where she lived until we put her in the home.  I took some that were going to open later, because iris don't last long and I wanted a few to open for her the next day.

Children

They make you old and you hate it, but what can you do.  Children are very hard to handle and will take you to hell and back.  I suppose I had so many because I was raised alone.  Then when I get to thinking back, I realize I was trying to be what my husband wanted and that was to be pregnant by him.  Somehow, even after all that happened, it didn't save the marriage.  It only made things worse and finally he would leave or I would throw him out because of the abuse.  So, there.........yes, I was abused by all of my husbands and had children by 3 of them.........what a mess.

Iris

These are just a few of the beautiful irises that are located around the edge of my home.  There is a flower bed all the way around the house, and it has mostly been filled with all colors of irises.  Since this is my first year to live here, I had to wait and see which one's were located where and what they would look like when they bloomed.

My Great Grand Daughter

Sorry I don't have a better picture, but here she is.  Oh and the man holding her is my grandson, her father.  Isn't it something to see these things in life?  I really can't believe I'm this old and that my son, has gray hair on his face graced with wrinkles.  It's a blessing to be able to live long enough to see this and know that my family will gone on down through this world's endeavors.

Wisteria

 

The wisteria is blooming now and it's very pretty.  Too bad it doesn't last very long and that the bush tends to send out runners, which try to take over the yard.  I have cut this bush back and it still sends out runners.  The one's I can't see are the most problem.  They run under the ground to other areas of the yard and then emerge somewhere, that's totally a bad place.

 The disease centers are telling everyone to be on guard when they have any type of relationship with someone they don't know.  It's a horrible thing to contract a disease by having sex with a person who is infected.  You can get sti testing at many places.  Make sure you use protection when you are interacting with someone on an intimate basis.  It could save your life, in the future.

Wisteria

About 2 days ago I took this picture of the new blooms which are about to open.  Since then they have opened into a beautiful array of purple blooms which give the effect of several bunches of grapes.  This plant is next to the house on the south side.  It's been there in that spot for many years and has had to be cut back to keep it from going everywhere.  Actually, there are runners going through the soil to the other side of the yard and one has attached itself to the tree out back.  Another has gone up between the siding and the actual structure of the house and come out by the security light which hangs just under the eave of the roof.

It wasn't until the birth of our twin baby girls that I decided that we needed to get home security family installed in our home. I just want to do everything I can to help me be at ease. Being a parent, I have enough to worry about. Are my babies getting enough milk to grow? Are they growing at the right rate, and doing new things when they are supposed to? Am I a good mother? When do I need to start baby food? The last thing I need to use mental power for is worrying about the safety of my home or my family. Beautiful Weather

It's Saturday and the weather is really beautiful.  The sun is out, the birds are singing, it's almost spring and we here in Texas are thinking about getting things ready for spring and summer fun days.  There's been plenty of rain this year so far and we are grateful the drought is over.  Right now we are out of it and hope to stay that way.  There have been too many years in drought and we need relief.

Vegetable Garden

 

Here's the future garden, waiting to be planted when the weather allows.  Right now there's still danger of frost and freezing weather, so we wait until the spring gets further into the planting season.  Right now I need to get the potatoes planted because they need to get in the ground sooner that other plants.  The rain has been a problem this year.  It's been coming right on the days I needed to get out there and plant.

The Garden

I've started a vegetable garden this year.  It's the first year one has been planted back there in many years.  I hope the ground will be well conditioned, considering how long it has sat without being tilled.  Either way I will find out what can be grown this year and what won't grow in certain areas.  There isn't much space for the sun to fall on the ground at very long intervals during the day.  So, next year I may have to plant the rows across instead of straight up and down.  At least I'll know where the sun hits longer during the day.  Many of the plants need at least 8 hours of sun to grow properly and produce.

A Cover.....

I'm sure the people who have a home swimming pool, made sure to put their pool cover into place after last summer.  As with anything that is left out doors, it can weather and get old.  You always need to invest in  pool covers  to protect the water for dirt, leaves and such.  Soon it will be time to remove your cover and ready the water for this coming summer's use.  For more information click on the above link and look around the website.

3 Years?

Has it been 3 years already since "octomom" gave birth?  It seems there will be a big party for them this week and plenty of fun?  Oh, my I'm sure there will be plenty of mess as well.  I can only imagine the chaos that lingers around every door, where they live.  Wow!  3 years!

Somehow I’ve become the local technology expert at my office which I think is the most ridiculous thing in the world. If anyone knew how little I actually knew about computers they would think it’s hilarious that I’m actually being asked for advice about everything from laptops to clear internet. We don’t have money around here to hire an IT consultant so I guess for now I’m going to have to be the one to answer all the tech questions and make it happen. Onion Seeds

These plants are now planted in my back yard garden.  I put a package of seeds in this pot and kept the soil moist, as the package directed.  Within a few days small green sprouts were shooting up through the surface to greet the sun.  They are very hardy, since it's been about 4 months coming of growth.

New Horizons..

Today, I chart new areas of this world.  I live in a secluded place, and yet it's a small town.  In the neighborhood where I'm located there are many old homes, because it's the historic area of the town.  I live alone and that brings a lot of loneliness to my life.  Going out into the world and making efforts to find some sort of new life, is very hard.  Today, I will start a 3 day class that will give my some idea how to do certain things.  It is my hope that during these classes, I will learn to adopt more sane actions as well.
